Sahrawi political prisoners suspend hunger strike

Tiznit (Morocco) January 13, 2014 (SPS) - Sahrawi political prisoners (group of national flag) jailed in Tiznit, Morocco, has suspended the hunger strike which they had commenced January 2, according to the Ministry of Occupied Territories and Community Abroad.

 

The suspension of hunger strike comes  after the prison administration pledged to respond to the demands of the hunger strikers including medication, balanced nutrition, sleeping beds, open visits.

 

In the same prison, Saharawi political prisoner Hassan Mohamed Lehssan continues the unlimited hunger strike that he initiated on January 3, to demand an impartial investigation into the  accusations made against him by the prison authority as a result of  the dire conditions in the prison.
