Christopher Ross received by Mauritanian Prime Minister

Nouakchott, Jan 25, 2014 (SPS) - The UN Secretary General’s Personal Envoy for Western Sahara, Mr. Christopher Ross, received today in Nouakchott, capital of Mauritania, by Dr. Moulay Ould Mohamed Laghdaf, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.


The meeting also attended by Mr. Hamid Ould Hmouna, minister delegate to foreign affairs and cooperation’s minister in charge of the Arab Maghreb Union, Mr. Mohameden Ould Daddah, director of international cooperation at the ministry of foreign affairs and cooperation, and Mr. Jiddou Ould Abdel Rahman Ould Jiddou, chargé d'affaires of Mauritanian permanent mission to the UN.


The UN Envoy Ross arrived in Mauritania as part of his new tour in the region, which aims to move forward the path of negotiations between the two parties to the conflict of Western Sahara; Polisario Front and Morocco. (SPS)
