CODESA holds meeting with representatives of U.S. Embassy in Morocco

El Aaiun (Occupied Territories), May 22, 2014 (SPS) -  The Collective of Saharawi Human Rights Defenders (CODESA) held Wednesday in El Aaiun, the occupied capital of Western Sahara, a meeting with representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Rabat, Morocco. 
 
The meeting was held at the home of Aminetou Haidar, president of CODESA, and addressed the situation of human rights in Western Sahara, which is characterized by constant serious Moroccan violations of human rights through confiscating the right  free expression, assembly and establishment of associations. 
 
It also addressed the campaign of torture, arbitrary detention and unfair trials against Saharawi civilians demanding their civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights. (SPS)
