Sahrawi people determined to continue struggle until independence

Algiers, November 24, 2014 (SPS) - The Ambassador of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) to Algiers, Ibrahim Ghali underlined Sunday in Algiers the determination of the Sahrawi people to continue their struggle against the Moroccan occupying forces until they snatch freedom and independence.

 

Speaking at Echaab Forum, Ghali said "the Sahrawi people are ready to make huge sacrifices and continue their struggle, but are still committed to the peaceful struggle to exercise their right to self-determination, freedom and independence."

 

"The United Nations' resolutions give them the right to use all available means to regain their despoiled rights," he added.

 

Ghali said that no country in the world recognizes Morocco's sovereignty over the Sahrawi territories.

 

The Sahrawi ambassador also expressed satisfaction at the outcomes of the 39th European Conference for the Coordination of Support and Solidarity with Sahrawi People (EUCOCO), held recently in Madrid, Spain.

 

The participants in the meeting recommended the launch of a wide campaign to increase international public opinion's of the Sahrawi cause, and for the release of the Sahrawi political prisoners.

 

They also called to impose political and economic sanctions on Morocco.

 

"The international community should take firm actions to force Morocco to abide by the international law," said the Sahrawi ambassador. (SPS)
