Spanish activists expelled from occupied El Aaiun

Submitted on

Madrid, Jan 29, 2015 (SPS) - Three female Spanish activists on Tuesday expelled by Moroccan authorities from the occupied city of El Aaiun, capital of Western Sahara, said the Spanish Coordination of Association in Solidarity with the Saharawi People (CEAS-Sáhara).

The three women are members of the Spanish movement of solidarity with the Saharawi people.

In a statement disseminated by CEAS-Sáhara, the group said they pretended to visit the occupied territories of Western Sahara to assess the situation of human rights there.

Moroccan authorities forced the Spanish females to climb out of their bus, before being driven away from El Aaiun in a taxi car. (SPS)
