Algiers, March 4, 2015 (SPS) - Several “influential” countries, regional and international organizations as well as active personalities have announced officially their “boycott” of Crans Montana Forum, to be held soon in the occupied Sahrawi city , said Tuesday in Algiers Saharawi Ambassador to Algiers Ibrahim Ghali.
The Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) “received correspondence from several influential countries, regional and international organizations as well as active personalities announcing their official boycott of Crans Montana Forum,” Ghali told APS.
Among these countries, he cited “Switzerland, where the Crans Montana Forum is based, the United Kingdom and many African, European and Asian countries.”
In addition to these countries, the forum will be also boycotted by many regional and international organizations, including the African Union (AU), the European Commission, and members of the European Parliament, said the Sahrawi ambassador.
Ghali underlined that “the campaigns to boycott the Forum continues,” adding that “this shows the wide international support to the Sahrawi issue and to the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination in accordance with the international law. (SPS)
