Submitted on

Dajla (refugee camps), March 18, 2015 (SPS) - The citizens of the Wilaya of Dajla, Saharawi refugee camps, on Tuesday staged several vigils in protest to the foreign companies involved in the ongoing pillaging of the natural resource of occupied Western Sahara, in conspiracy with Moroccan occupation.

The participants denounced the involvement of some multinational companies in the looting of Western Sahara wealth, urging them to stop their illegal activities and immediately abandon the Saharawi territory, occupied militarily by Morocco since 1975.

They also reiterated Saharawi people’s unequivocal rejection to such illegitimate activities.

On this occasion, various seminars were organized to sensitize about the issue of natural resources’ plunder in Western Sahara.

To note, the vigils come in the context of the national campaign “No to the Looting of the Natural Resource of Occupied Western Sahara”, which was launched on 25 February 2015 by Saharawi civil society organizations. (SPS)
