Melbourne (Australia), March 30, 2015 (SPS) -  The New Zealand television highlighted Sunday   in its news the latest protests of the Saharawi people against the involvement of foreign companies complicit with the Moroccan occupation in the plunder of  Sahrawi natural resources.

The television showed on its news channel images of protest sit-ins organized in the Wilaya of Boujdour to demandtwo New Zealand fertilizer companies Ballance and Ravensdown to halt their activities and withdraw from the occupied territories of Western Sahara in the framework of the national campaign "No to the plunder of the natural resources of Western Sahara territory."

The channel also demonstrated the response of the minister of industry, Mr. Nathan Guy, on a question related to whether he knew about phosphate imported from Western Sahara, where he asserted that he “didn’t know about all sources of fertilizers imported to New Zealand”.

The channel addressed the political and legal status of Western Sahara, recalling that Morocco has occupied Western Sahara since forty years ago and began selling phosphate rock in the territory for millions of dollars a year, despite the condemnation of the United Nations. (SPS)
