Dajla hosts 12th edition of Western Sahara International Film Festival

Dajla (refugee camps), April 28, 2015 (SPS) - The province of Dajla, Saharawi refugee camps, will host from April 29th until May 03th activities of the twelfth edition of the International Film Festival in Western Sahara, known as FiSahara, held under the theme “Universal Declaration.”


The event will be attended by several delegations from all continents, of which actors, filmmakers, cinema directors, human rights defenders and sympathizers with the national cause.


Among those who will present the famous Spanish female actresses Oona Chaplin and Ariadna Gil, in addition to the global human rights figure, Nora de Cortiñas, president of the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo of Argentina, among many others.


Festival will witness the screening of a range of international films, including of which “Timbuktu” by Mauritanian film director Abderrahmane Sissako, “Loin des Hommes (Far fromMen)” by the Danish American actor Viggo Mortensen, “Paradise Now” by Hany Abu-Assad, and some films about the Saharawi cause such as “Coria and the Sea” and “Sukeina”.
