Conference on "The Saharawi question and international humanitarian law" in Algiers

Algiers, July 05, 2015 (SPS) .- The Algerian collectif of solidarian journalists with the Saharawi people organizes Monday, July 6 at 10:30 am at DK News Forum, a conference hosted by the Commissioner of the African Commission on Human Rights and Peoples of the African Union (AU), Ms. Maya Sahli and the expert-researcher in international relations from the National School of Journalism and Information Sciences, Ahmed Kateb.
 

Speakers will address mainly, in the presence of numerous personalities and activists of the Saharawi cause, the right of peoples to self-determination, Western Sahara people case, the violation of human rights by all colonial systems, as evidenced by the past history of colonization all over the world, and the current history as revealed by the reality prevailed in the Saharawi territories under Moroccan occupation.
 

The conference-debate will discuss also the role played by the international community, mainly by some United Nations Security Council powers members, in the report indefinitely of the organization of the referendum in Western Sahara, a right consecrated in the texts and the spirit of UN Charter.
