Sahrawi ambassador received by Nigerian president

 Abuja, July 20, 2015 (SPS) - Saharawi Ambassador to Nigeria, Chief of the diplomatic corps accredited in Abuja, Mr. Abbi Bashir Bushraya, was received Thursday by the Nigerian President, Mr. Mohamado Buhari, at the headquarters of the Nigerian presidency.

 

In speech before the Nigerian president, the chief of the diplomatic corps accredited in Abuja which includes about 130 diplomatic missions, praised the role of the Nigerian President in development and peace in this country which is facing terrorism.

 

On behalf of all the ambassadors, the Sahrawi ambassador congratulated the Nigerian president on his victory in the presidential elections organized on March 28, adding that the elections was fair, democratic and credible by all standards.

 

He stressed that Nigeria can count on the cooperation and support of their countries, individually and collectively, in the fight against terrorism as well as overcoming the challenges facing development.

 

The Nigerian media emphasized the Saharawi Ambassador speech, highlighting the solidarity of the diplomatic corps accredited with Nigeria in the face of terrorism and the challenges facing the country. (SPS)
