National Council hails determination of Saharawi people after floods

 Shaheed El-Hafed, November 1, 2015 (SPS) The office of the National Council praised the faith and determination of the Saharawi people during and after the floods that have destroyed the homes of refugees and public institutions.

 

 "The office reviewed the efforts made since the first day of the disaster by the Sahrawi authorities to ensure the normal life of citizens, the functioning of public services (health and education) and ensuring the supply of food and housing," the National Council said in a statement a copy of which received by SPS.

 

 The statement affirmed the need to devote every effort to ensure reaction of the international community to face the current difficulties, calling the Sahrawi population for unity, mobilization and vigilance against the Moroccan policy and its aggressive plots.

 

The office also denounced the Moroccan escalation to impose the colonial status quo and reject the objectives of international efforts calling for the organization of the self-determination referendum for the Saharawi people. (SPS)
