Tuscany province is home to international conference of twinned municipalities with SADR

 Tuscany (Italy), November 1, 2015 (SPS) The Italian province of Tuscany hosted the work of the international conference of twinned municipalities with municipalities and dairas of the Saharawi Republic, which took place from 30 to 31 October in Tuscany.

 

 The event was attended by the Minister of Occupied Territories and the community Abroad, Mohamed Elwali AKaik, governors of the Wilayad of  Awserd and Boujdour, respectively Salek Baba Hassana and Eza Babih , Polisario Front representative in Italy, Omar Mih, and members of the Italian parliamentary Group "Peace for the Saharawi people" and the president of the regional parliament of Tuscany.

 

 The conference was also attended by delegations representing more than 150 municipalities in Italy and the Italian associations of solidarity with the Saharawi people conducted by the Italian Association of Institutions in solidarity with the Saharawi people.

 

During this event, which is organized every year in Italy to renew twinning with Saharawi municipalities, 50 new twinning agreements were signed and review of 150 twinning treaties signed for years.

 

Speaking on this occasion, the president of the regional parliament of the province of Tuscany announced in December the organization of a conference of Italian regional parliaments intended to coordinate the work of solidarity with the Saharawi people. (SPS)
