Saharawi political prisoner Hamza Gamihi sentenced to two years in prison

 El Aaiun (occupied territories), December 7, 2015 (SPS) -The Moroccan Criminal Division of the Court of Appeals in the occupied city of El Aaiun on Wednesday sentenced Saharawi political prisoner Hamza Gamihi to two years in prison, who was on conditional release since October 30, 2013.

 

Young Hamza Gamihi was arrested on June 04, 2013, in the city of Smara (occupied Western Sahara zones) following his participation in a peaceful demonstration demanding the right of the people of Western Sahara to self-determination.  

 

Sahrawi political prisoner Hamza Gamihi had spent four and a half months in pre-trial detention, and he was released on parole on October 30, 2013 along with a group of Saharawi political prisoners Sidi Mohamed Malah, Mohamed Saluh, Mahamud Hannun and Ajwad Farrah. (SPS)
