DICAN honors Sahrawi Ambassador to Nigeria

Abuja (Nigeria) 13 February 2016 (SPS) - The Diplomatic Correspondents Association of Nigeria (DICAN) honored Friday former Sahrawi Ambassador to Nigeria H.E Oubi Bachir, in recognition of his efforts and good cooperation to facilitate the missions of the Nigerian media in covering diplomatic activities.

 

In the gala in the Nigerian capital, Abuja, the Chairman of DICAN, Innocent Odoh, indicated that Saharawi Ambassador H.E Oubi Bachir received the award as an Ambassador of the Sahrawi Republic as well as the Dean of diplomatic corps accredited in Nigeria.


Speaking on the occasion, the Sahrawi Ambassador expressed gratitude for the honor in recognition of all the ambassadors and heads of missions in Abuja, praising the important role played by DICAN to bring diplomatic message to the Nigerian public opinion and strengthen of bilateral and multilateral relations in the interests of the Nigerian people and the peoples of the world.

 

The celebration was attended by members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Abuja, senators and Nigerian Parliament, and representatives of the Nigerian Foreign Ministry. (SPS)
