Tiflet 2 (Morocco), May 29, 2024 (SPS) - The Moroccan authorities of the local prison Tiflet 2 subjected the Sahrawi civilian prisoner within the Gdeim Izik group, Mohamed Lamin Abidin Hadi, to harassment and searched his cell in a provocative and insulting manner, and destroyed many of his books and belongings.

The Association for the Protection of Sahrawi Prisoners told by the mother of the Sahrawi civilian prisoner, Mohamed Lamin Abidin Hadi, that her son is in miserable and humiliating detention conditions for seven years, during which he was subjected to physical torture, humiliating treatment and confiscation of his basic rights.

According to what the mother of the Sahrawi civilian prisoner told the Association for the Protection of Sahrawi Prisoners, the authorities of the local prison in Tiflet 2 on Monday morning, deliberately searched the cell of her son Mohamed Lamin Abidin Hadi, during which they deliberately destroyed many of his personal belongings and tore up all his books, in addition to preventing him from his right to family visits.

She added that the authorities of the prison prevented on Monday evening, her son from making a phone call to the family to avoid informing them of the arbitrary measures and humiliating practices practiced against him, the last of which was the incitement of public rights prisoners against him and preventing him from receiving necessary medical treatment.

SPS
