Saharawi Students start their high studies in Venezuela

Caracas, 31/01/2007 (SPS) A group of Saharawi students arrived on Wednesday to the capital of Venezuela to start their high studies within the framework of the bilateral accords signed between the Governments of Venezuela and the Saharawi Republic, the Saharawi Ambassador to Caracas, Mr. El Haj Ahmed, declared in a press release. The group was received at the international airport of Maiquetía by the Venezuelan Deputy-Minister for External Relations, Reinaldo Bolivar, and the Saharawi Ambassador to Venezuela, the text of the press release indicated. "This is the new dimension we would like to give to our relations with the peoples of Africa so as to contribute to the development and progress of our Saharawi brothers", Mr. Reinaldo Bolivar declared, the press release quotes. ON his side the Saharawi Ambassador expressed his conviction that "the presence of Saharawi students in the Venezuelan universities will contribute to a better knowledge about the realities of the two peoples and strengthen the ties of friendship that unifies them", the same source added.
