Bir-Lehlu, July 10, 2017 (SPS) - President of Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, sent a congratulatory message to President of the Republic of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, on the occasion of the 6th anniversary of South Sudan Independence Day.
“On behalf of the Saharawi People and on my own behalf, I extend sincere congratulations on your 6th anniversary South Sudan Independence Day. I wish you and the people of South Sudan happiness, continued success and prosperity,” said the President of the Republic.
“Ever since South Sudan’s independence, six years ago, we enjoy a very special friendship between our countries and our people. This friendship, consolidated by support and trust, has bound the Sahrawi Arab democratic Republic and the Republic of South Sudan –two geographically distant but close countries in terms of values and intense desire for freedom.”
“The Republic of South Sudan has become a key partner and ally of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic when working together in the African Union. Over this period, we have established a close dialogue, based on common approach towards a number of topical matters, in addressing the key challenges of eradication of all sort of colonization and economical dependency agenda in our continent. We highly value South Sudan’s solidarity and contribution to support and defend the right of the Saharawi people for independence and freedom, consistently stronger bilateral relations between the people of South Sudan and the people of the Sahrawi Arab democratic Republic in the area of diplomatic channels is a stronger push to the African Union to take its natural role as an important International player,” added the President of the Republic in his message to President of the Republic of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit.
