This edition is dedicated to the Saharawi population residing in the occupied areas of Western Sahara, who daily experience brutal repression by the Moroccan government. It is also dedicated to all political prisoners who are unjustly jailed, the same source added
the festival will be attended by many foreign delegations of filmmakers and international artists from different countries of the world, such as Spain and Algeria.
The International Western Sahara Film Festival, well known as “FISAHARA”, was held for the first time in 2004 and is currently an annual event taking place in the Saharawi refugee camps to shed light on the struggle of the Saharawi people towards national independence. SPS
