San Salvador, Nov 21, 2018 (SPS) - The Saharawi Delegate Minister for Latin America and the Caribbean, Mansur Omar, was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of El Salvador, Carlos Alfredo Castaneda, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of El Salvador, accompanied by Suliman Tieb Henan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic to El Salvador in concurrence and based in Nicaragua.
The Saharawi Minister informed the Salvadoran Foreign Minister about the struggle of the Saharawi people for their sovereignty and independence and about the beginning of the future negotiations between the Frente POLISARIO and Morocco.
Minister Castaneda was accompanied by Mr. Jorge Aranda, general director of foreign policy and Ambassador Carlos Ascencio. The Salvadoran Minister reiterated to the Saharawi delegation, the support of his government to the Sahrawi cause and expressed his wishes for success in the negotiations so that they lead to a definitive solution that guarantees the right to self-determination of the Saharawi people.
