Seville (Spain), April 1, 2016 (SPS) - Friendship Association with the Saharawi people in Seville, Spain organized Sit-in in solidarity with the Sahrawi political detainees "Gdeim Izik" hunger strikers, in collaboration with Sahrawi community Abroad in the said city.
Participants with national flags and detainees pictures, during the vigil, called the international community to pressure the occupation authorities to save the life of Sahrawi detainees on hunger strike and to release them unconditionally.
In this regard, Saharawi community in Malaga organized solidarity gathering with Gdeim Izik Group, where along with community members, representatives from the Municipality council, as well as representatives from the support of the Saharawi People's Association and sympathizers with the fair Saharawi cause.
Vigil was culminated by solidarity statement with the Saharawi political prisoners on hunger strike, in which the participants denounced the brutality of the Moroccan occupation and blatant violation of Saharawi people´s rights in the occupied territories of Western Sahara, calling on international community to pay attention to the situation of Saharawi political prisoners in the Moroccan jails, demanding their immediately and unconditionally release.
