Lanzarote hosts activities on Sahrawi cause

Lanzarote (Canary Islands), November 19, 2024 (SPS) - The representative of the Polisario Front in the Canary Archipelago, Ali Salem Sidi Zein, led a visit to the island of Lanzarote at the invitation of the New Canary Party, during which he conducted media interviews addressing the latest developments in the Sahrawi cause.

The activities concluded with a lecture and an in-depth discussion on the issue of the Sahrawi people and their legitimate struggle against Moroccan occupation.

The session was led by the lecturer, Mr. Carmelo Ramirez, International Solidarity Advisor at the Gran Canaria Council, alongside the representative of the Front, Ali Salem Sidi Zein, and members of the solidarity movement on the island.

The lecture was attended by members of the Canary Islands Solidarity Movement with the Sahrawi people, including Mr. Yoni Karabujo, a member of the regional parliament, along with members of the regional leadership of the New Canary Party.

They all expressed their support and solidarity with the Sahrawi people and their just struggle.

The meeting also attended by the Sahrawi community residing in Lanzarote, who also expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the free voices of the Canary Islands for their ongoing support of the Sahrawi people's fight.
