Mexico City, September 27, 2024 (SPS) - At the invitation of the Mexican Labor Party, a delegation from the Sahrawi Republic, headed by Ambassador in charge of the Caribbean region, Mohamed Zroug, is taking part in the 28th International Conference of Parties and New Society, which is being held in Mexico City, Mexico, between the 26th and 28th of September, alongside more than 300 international delegates representing left-wing parties, progressive and social movements in Latin America and the Caribbean.
On this occasion, the Sahrawi delegation held bilateral meetings that focused mainly on raising awareness and informing about the most important developments of the Sahrawi issue and the just struggle of the Sahrawi people against the Moroccan occupation, and in defense of their inalienable right to self-determination and independence.
It is expected that the International Conference of Parties and New Society will adopt a declaration of support and solidarity with the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic in its closing session.
