President Brahim Ghali condemns shameful positions adopted by certain parties in support of Moroccan colonial thesis

Wilaya of Dakhla, September 26, 2024 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, has expressed his condemnation of the shameful positions adopted by certain parties in supporting the Moroccan colonial thesis in Western Sahara.

In his speech during the opening of the 5th Regular Session of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, President Brahim Ghali expressed his strong condemnation of the shameful positions adopted by certain parties in support of the Moroccan colonial thesis.

He added that it is unacceptable for the President of France, the cradle of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, to openly declare that he will blatantly violate the United Nations Charter by giving what he does not own to those who do not deserve it, and to openly participate with the Moroccan occupying state in trampling on international law and international humanitarian law at the headquarters of the international organization.

President Brahim Ghali emphasized the responsibility of the United Nations Security Council and the United Nations in general to complete the decolonization process from the last colony in Africa.

He also stressed that the serious developments and transformations witnessed in the African Sahel region require more cooperation and coordination between the neighboring countries, especially with the sisterly Algeria and Mauritania, to jointly address the challenges that are escalating.

President Brahim Ghali added that the matter is becoming more urgent due to the blatant involvement of the Moroccan occupying state, not only in policies of expansion, aggression, and flooding the region with drugs, supporting and encouraging all forms of organized crime gangs and terrorist groups, but also in implanting and passing destructive foreign agendas and facilitating their penetration throughout the region.
