President Brahim Ghali affirms that no one can force Sahrawi people to give up their legitimate rights to freedom and independence

Boumerdes (Algeria), July 24, 2024 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, affirmed that no one can force the Sahrawi people to give up their legitimate rights to freedom and independence.

President Brahim Ghali, in his speech during his supervision of the closing of the 12th edition of the Summer University for Sahrawi Cadres, said that: “No one can force peoples to give up their legitimate rights and their stolen homelands”, adding that unfair and unjust decisions to recognize the alleged sovereignty of the Zionist occupation entity over Palestinian and Arab lands or the alleged sovereignty of the Moroccan occupation regime over Western Sahara is hostile behavior, contrary to the United Nations Charter and its resolutions, and in violation of international law and international humanitarian law, and in conflict with the responsibilities and duties of the UN Security Council.

It is, said President of the Republic a reckless behavior, which will only lead to the creation of more wars and destruction, as evidenced by the tragic conditions in Wounded Gaza, and the state of tension in the entire Middle East.

In the same context, President Brahim Ghali expressed his condemnation of the crimes against humanity and genocide committed by the Zionist occupation entity against our Palestinian brothers, reiterating his support for the Palestinian people's firm right to establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
