National Council, July 03, 2024 (SPS) - The Sahrawi National Council renewed yesterday its commitment to consolidating the approach of liberation and building a state of law and institutions, during commemorating the National Day of the Deputy, which falls on July 2 of each year.
The event was attended by the Member of the National Secretariat, the President of the National Council, Mr. Hamma Salama, the National Council Bureau and the heads of the parliamentary friendship committees.
The event was marked by a discussion session on parliamentary diplomacy and its role in advocating for the justice of the national cause.
During the opening of the event, the President of the National Council mourned the martyr Mahfoud Ali Beiba and all the martyrs of the national cause, stressing that commemorating this day represents the fulfillment of the covenant made by the Sahrawi people with their righteous martyrs, and a message for the continuity of generations and carrying the torch of liberation.
The President of the National Council also addressed a comprehensive assessment of the work of parliamentary diplomacy and the spread of friendship committees to include all extensions of diplomatic work to accompany and raise awareness about the Sahrawi issue around the world.
The members of the National Council Bureau and the heads of the parliamentary friendship committees also discussed presentations on the work of their committees and the gains achieved.
