Africa stands firmly with Nigeria in its fight against terrorism, says Saharawi diplomat

Abuja, July 28, 2015 (SPS) - Saharawi Ambassador in Nigeria Mr. Ubbi Bachraya Bachir has indicated that Africa, peoples and governments, stands by the side of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in its fight against terrorism, praising the strict steps taken by President Buhari administration to fight Boko Haram terrorist group.


Speaking on the celebration of Africa and Mandela Days in Abuja on behalf of the African ambassadors accredited to the country, Saharawi diplomat applauded the “strict steps and great determination by the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari to fight the terrorist group of Boko Haram.


He called for the “unconditional release” of the women kidnapped in Chepauk last April, voicing the sympathy and solidarity of African ambassadors with families of the abducted and with the people and government of Nigeria as a whole.


The Saharawi diplomat, also the Dean of Diplomatic Corps accredited to Nigeria, expressed Africa’s readiness to mobilize all efforts in order to defeat such strange phenomenon.


“The African Union is moving confidently and gradually to the embodiment of the ultimate ambitions of the peoples of the African continent in unity, stability and prosperity,” stated Mr. Ubbi Bachraya, praising the essential role played by the African Union on the international scene as a dynamic, responsible and effective block.


It is to be recalled that the aforementioned celebration was organized by the African ambassadors accredited to Abuja. (SPS)
